“Beach Babies has been more than just a nursery for both our two children and ourselves. Our children have loved their time there and flourished in an environment full of adventure and wonder. From their first day in the baby room to their last days at preschool, every aspect of their development has been considered, their personalities and interests passionately nurtured.
We feel very lucky that our children began their early years education in such a wonderful setting with the ethos it has. Their experiences there have helped to shape them into confident, resilient kids, full of curiosity and ready for the challenges of school.
Every expectation we might have had of a nursery have been surpassed. At every step, they’ve supported her as a baby, toddler and now preschooler - but they’ve also supported us as parents through every transition. We’ve always been so reassured that every member of staff is led by daughter’s needs (physical and emotional) and based around how we parent her at home too. This speaks volumes about the level of communication and community you’ve cultivated.
My daughter, who is now at school, often speaks with such enthusiasm and joy about her time at Beach Babies. She left Beach Babies excited and confident, and was more than ready to begin school (despite being a summer born baby) — a transition that was made so much easier thanks to your dedication. We love the outdoor space and are thrilled that the children spend so much time outside.
We also love how the staff get to know the children and their interests, and incorporate these into their planning. The regular updates on Blossom are also a real highlight — they not only give us insight into our son’s day, but also give us a lovely way to talk with him about what he’s been doing.

“Beach Babies is the most special place to work. There is no other place that I would rather be a teacher. Emotional well-being and empowering the children to have great emotional literacy is paramount and this extends to the support the leaders and managers give to all the staff at the Nursery. It is a wonderful team to be part of and feels like a big extended family which in turn supports all the children at the Nursery to be kind, confident and enthusiastic learners during their time in our Beach Babies community.
As a staff member we are encouraged to progress and professionally develop, especially in areas that interest us. For example, I have been greatly supported when I expressed an interest in doing a Forest School level 3 qualification and has meant we can work further at embedding Forest School practice into our provision. Also, we are supported when suggesting ideas that will improve provision for the children at Beach Babies such as introducing Helicopter Stories or the work we have done together to achieve RHS school gardening awards level 5. It is such a great team to be a part of and it is always both a supportive and fun place to work with a fabulous team and leadership.”
